Discount & Review: Little Green Star

Lately, instead of the usual catalogs and bills, I've been getting some really cool things in the mail—like this “cool” Penguin shirt for DS, made from 100% organic cotton and printed with water-based inks from Little Green Star.

Little Green Star was founded in 2006 by two friends, Kelley and Victoria, in San Francisco. They worked for an environmental consulting company, and after a few years, they decided to start a line of organic baby clothes. Their website states: “Our hope is that our shirts will introduce children to practices and concepts that they can incorporate as they are starting to form their own habits, beliefs, values and concepts. Through the process of teaching children we can begin to envision the solution to end a lot of our environmental problems.”

Little Green Star’s clothes are designed with cute characters and fun eco-statements, such as “Water Pollution Makes Me Crabby” and “My Dad Recycles More than your Dad.” DS’s Penguin shirt states “Turn Down the Heat! Keep the Ice Caps Under My Feet!”

Check out Little Green Star's selection of organic t-shirts, and take advantage of this great offer for Sage and Savvy readers: get 20% off your purchase through September 30, 2008 by using code Sage20 (valid only on t-shirts; cannot be used on gift sets or accessories, and cannot be combined with other discounts ).

Not only will your kiddies look cute and cool, but they’ll help to spread the word about saving the environment with their eco-friendly attire…after all, it’s never too early for them to start caring about the environment!

Thank you to Little Green Star for sponsoring the product(s) for review and/or giveaway!
