DS has some cute backpacks we use to stuff his toys and books in whenever we go out, but none of them are cuter than the one we just got from Ecogear’s Ecozoo line. Check out this elephant bag!

According to their website, as told by Ecogear/Ecotech founder Jimmy, “My inspiration came while I was on vacation with my family. In the summer of 2006, I watched my kids play on the beach. Realizing how special these moments were and thinking about how fast my kids were growing up, I was struck by a thought. What can I do to help to ensure my children have a clean and healthy planet to enjoy?” Ecogear/Ecotech was born shortly thereafter, offering a great selection of eco-friendly bags.

What makes this Elephant Bag eco-friendly? It’s made out of organically-grown cotton canvas and rope materials, non-toxic dyes, recycled plastic components, and sustainable wood accents.

I really love the Elephant Bag. My son does too. I don’t know who loves it more! Not only is there a lot of room for all sorts of books and toys, but it can even be used as a toy itself! DS loves zoo animals so he gets a kick out of using and playing with the bag. In fact, he loves to wear it all over the house and carries it around wherever he goes.

The bag uses both a drawstring and wooden toggle closure to keep things secure instead of a zipper, which I think is great because DS loves to play with zippers and he broke the zipper off of another backpack he had. And it’s just the cutest bag...don’t you think? Fun, functional, and eco-friendly—a great combination!
