Giveaway, Review: Alchemilla

Do you ever hear how some people comment that a pregnant woman’s skin is “glowing?” Well, my skin is glowing, but not because of the pregnancy--it’s because of some wonderful products I was able to sample thanks to Alchemilla.

According to their website, Alchemilla is “committed to creating non-toxic, truly active organic skin care products that naturally and ethically guide skin back to health and deliver their promise of a more healthy, vitalized, youthful looking complexion…Our superior antioxidant-rich formulations deeply nourish skin, support cellular health, strengthen natural restorative processes and help maintain the optimal environment for proper skin function, thus promoting skin's long term health.”

I was able to try out the following products:

  • Antioxidant Concentrate Serum: It was very, very light; I love how it keeps my skin hydrated and protects it; I only wish I had more so I could continue to use it to see how much of a difference it would make in evening out my skin tone.
  • Rehydrating Day Care Cream: It felt really light and creamy; my face and neck felt soft and smooth all day.
  • Exfoliating Face Wash Cream: I love how my skin felt after I used this; the tiny little jojoba beads really make a difference.
  • Gentle Plant Purifying Masque: The last time I used a mask was years and years ago, and I just remember it making my skin really dry afterwards and peeling it off was a bit torturous. However, the Alchemilla Gentle Plant Purifying Masque was indeed very gentle. It was light enough that I even forgot that I had it on until DS pointed at my face and asked “what dat?” Getting it off was easy—moisten it and rinse it off.
  • Deep Clean Purifying Masque: Just like the Gentle Plant Purifying Masque, this was a very light mask, and was easy to put on and easy to get off. It really felt like it went deep down into my pores to get out all the dirt and oil.

Alchemilla's products are "pure natural, organic, and biodynamic," containing no parabens, sulfates, alcohol or petrochemical biproducts, and the results are practically immediate.
