Giveaway, Review: skinnyskinny

I used to use body wash when I showered—just the typical body wash you’d find at any drugstore, but lately I’ve been receiving a lot of great soap samples from different companies and I don’t think I could go back to using those “typical” body washes again. One of the companies I received great soap samples from is skinnyskinny. Clara Williams created skinnyskinny because “there simply weren"t any good soaps.” According to the website: “All skinnyskinny products are made completely by hand from scratch from really great ingredients (extra-virgin oils, unrefined butters and essential oils). Our products contain at least 96% certified organic ingredients.”

As soon as I opened the box of skinnyskinny samples, I immediately thought “these smell really good,” and “I love the packaging.” Along with the soaps, my box of goodies also contained lip balms and bath salts.

I thought the skinnyskinny items were all great. I'm officially a lip balm addict now, and the baths salts--just the fragrance alone relaxes and soothes you! And what's not to love--both the lip balms and bath salts are 100% organic treats for your lips and skin.

My favorite products though, are the soaps. There are so many different varieties, and what I like best is how the different ingredients serve various purposes. I received many different samples, but my favorites are the Real Cocoa (formerly Chocolate), Lime & Mint with Sea Kelp, and the Basil & Mint Shaving Soap. The Real Cocoa was a no brainer—I love anything do with chocolate! And the fact that it contains cocoa butter, which is used to minimize stretch marks, is great, especially with my very large baby bump! The Lime & Mint with Sea Kelp smelled invigorating and I think it’s great that the Sea Kelp helps remove toxins. I thought the Basil & Mint Shaving Soap was neat because I never tried a “shaving soap” before. I tried it on just one leg to see if there would be a difference, and there was. I couldn't tell the difference, however, but DH could! I was pretty impressed!
