Review: Bethesda Skincare

When it comes to sunscreen, we are very diligent putting in on…our son. Yes, we always make sure to put sunscreen on DS, but when it comes to ourselves, I admit that both DH & I slack a little. I know, “tsk, tsk.” I use sunscreen whenever I go to the park or beach, but I know I need to use it daily since I'm often out running errands or commuting to work. I’ve been noticing for a while that I have a tan line on my left arm--the sun just hits it when I drive. I always tell myself to put on sunscreen…I just never get around to it, or I simply forget to put some on.

Fortunately, I found out about Bethesda Sunscreen Soap through the Family Review Network and couldn’t wait to try it out. I’ve heard of sunscreen in makeup, lip balms, even hair products, but a sunscreen soap? I never knew such a thing existed.

Jamie Collins Doss, founder and creator of Bethesda Skincare, shares her story on her website as to how she developed Bethesda Sunscreen Soap: "Our story starts with my Daddy having skin cancers removed from being out in the sun while working on his farm in Northern Alabama. He refused sunscreen because the smell and the nuisance of applying it. Also, I became very ill and could no longer tolerate traditional soaps, sunscreen or supplement powders. I then decided to work with a combination of natural therapeutic ingredients to add SPF protection to work with the All-One multi-vitamin powder in a soap bar. The skin being the largest organ of the body, why not a therapeutic multi-vitamin SPF soap for the skin that can be used in your routine hot shower, the perfect place where pores are open and receive.”

I’ve been using Bethesda Sunscreen Soap for several days now, and I love it. The soap smells very refreshing. It lathers nicely and moisturizes well. Not only does it provide SPF 10+ sunscreen protection, but it’s all-natural, and contains vitamins to help nourish your skin. I think this soap is such a great idea that I make sure both DH and DS use it too.

Although I would still recommend putting on additional sunscreen with a higher SPF when going to the beach or participating in any other outdoor activity, the sunscreen soap is a wonderful, practical solution for every day sunscreen protection, and is a great product for busy, forgetful mommies like me.

Thank you to Bethesda Skincare for providing the product(s) for review and/or giveaway.
