Refresh'n Dryer Towel

When I first heard about the opportunity to review the Refresh’n Dryer Towel through the Family Review Network, I was a bit hesitant to express my interest, probably because of how I’m a bit of a germaphobe and the thought of wearing clothes that haven’t been washed didn’t sit well with me. However, after finding out that there are environmental benefits from using the Refresh’n Dryer Towel, and that it’s chemical-free and non-toxic, I was eager to try it.

According to the website, “By using the Refresh’n Dryer Towel, you will not only save time, money and prolong the life of your clothing. You will help in the conservation of our vital resources. In the United States alone, there are over 115 million households that on average wash 400 loads of laundry per year. That is over 2 trillion gallons of water and 132 billion kilowatt hours of electricity used per year just to wash and dry our clothing.”

Pretty staggering statistics huh?

The Refresh’n Dryer Towel ($9.95) looks like any other towel, but it feels different from a “normal” towel. Exactly how does it work? The website states that “HOT air flow from the dryer passes through the uniquely sewn weave pattern with our revolutionary P2 fibers to create the steaming effect that removes bacteria, dirt, odor, and wrinkles from clothing. [It uses] Split Fiber technology that creates millions of massaging strands that lift and trap surface dirt and odor while reviving your clothing’s fabric."

Using the Refresh’n Dryer Towel was pretty simple. First I placed 3 items in the dryer—DH’s denim shorts and cotton shorts, and one of my cotton jackets, all of which were used just once. I then saturated the Refresh’n Dryer Towel with tap water and had to wring out the excess water. Wringing out the excess water did take quite a while—it could be because I saturated the towel too much or maybe I was just weak and weary from caring for a newborn, but that part took longer than expected.

Once all the excess water was gone, I laid the Refresh’n Dryer Towel flat on top of the clothing. After ensuring the lint trap was clean (as I always do whenever I use the dryer), I turned the dryer on high heat for 10 minutes.

When the ten minutes were up, I immediately took out the 3 items. I was pretty impressed, and so was DH. The clothes appeared fresh and odor-free, and I was surprised that even though the wet Towel was on top of all of the clothes, the clothes were not damp at all.

The Refresh’n Dryer Towel will not shrink, spot, or fade your clothes, and if you want to freshen up more than 3 items, you simply need to use two Towels at a time to freshen up to 8 items.

Despite my initial skepticism, the Refresh’n Dryer Towel is definitely something I would use again (reusable up to 25 times), especially during those times when I need to leave the house and find that my favorite pair of jeans has yet to be washed—I know in just 10 minutes it’ll be fresh and ready to wear thanks to the Refresh’n Dryer Towel.

Thank you to Refresh'n Dryer Towel for providing the product(s) for review and/or giveaway.

This sounds like something I really need in my house. With four kids this would come in really handy.
