Several months ago, DH, DS#1 and I went grocery shopping. While DH was loading the groceries into the car, I was buckling DS#1 into his car seat. All of a sudden, I heard a man yell “watch out!” I turned around, and our shopping cart was rolling away, nearly hitting a car that was driving past behind us. Fortunately the man chased after our cart and stopped it from hitting the car. Can you imagine if the man wasn't there? Or worse…can you imagine if DS#1 was still in the shopping cart and the man wasn't around to stop the cart?

Since DH does most of the grocery shopping, he tested out the Cart-Stopper. It’s very simple to use--apply the Cart-Stopper to a smooth clean surface on your vehicle, and guide the latch through the cart to secure it. It’s very important that you apply the Cart-Stopper to a clean surface. The first time DH tried the Cart-Stopper he used it on an area of his car that was not clean, so the Cart-Stopper didn't stay on his car very long.
When you’re ready to leave the parking lot, just remove the Cart-Stopper by using the release tab, and you can store it easily in the glove compartment or your purse.
When used properly, the Cart-Stopper turned out to be a great, effective device that definitely made DH feel more confident that the chances of a runaway shopping cart were greatly reduced.
The Cart-Stopper is great for not only parents, but also for the babysitter, grandparents, or anyone who would want the extra peace of mind. Please know that the Cart-Stopper is an assistive device only, and you should still be responsible and not leave your child unattended, and you should continue to exercise caution while your child is in the shopping cart.
