Gloves in a Bottle

DH was once a “guest reviewer” and reviewed a shielding lotion not too long ago, so I was eager for him to try out a new shielding lotion we received—Gloves in a Bottle (8 oz for $14.95).

According to the website, “Gloves In A Bottle is a shielding lotion that rapidly absorbs into, and bonds with, the outer layer of skin creating a protective layer while retaining the natural moisture from within. This makes it the perfect dry skin care product. It does not wash off, but comes off naturally with exfoliated skin cells. Just reapply every four hours for continued protection. It's greaseless, non-sticky, fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, completely safe and non-toxic. Used and recommended daily for dry skin conditions by a wide range of healthcare professionals.”

When I first asked DH to try it, he was hesitant and I didn’t understand why. I asked him again a few days later if he wanted to try it after seeing how the backs of his hands, especially his knuckles, were really dried out from all the manual labor he does at work, and he said “I don’t want to wear gloves!” So that’s why he was hesitant! Well, I explained to him how he wouldn't need to wear gloves, and that Gloves in a Bottle was a shielding lotion. Once that was clarified, he was ready to try Gloves in a Bottle.

DH applied the lotion on only his left hand so we could compare the results to his right hand after several days of use.

Although its recommended to apply the lotion every 4 hours for continued protection, DH only applied it once a day, but even with a single daily application, the skin on his left hand was a lot smoother and softer than the skin on his right hand. The brown, dry patches of skin on his knuckles were still there, but they were not as rough and noticeable as before.

DH liked how the lotion was fragrance-free, it wasn't oily or greasy, and a little went a long way.

DH thought Gloves in a Bottle worked great, and I was truly impressed myself, so you know I'll be trying it out too!

Thank you to Gloves in a Bottle for providing the product(s) for review and/or giveaway.
