Mannheim Steamroller

One of the many things I love about the holidays is listening to all the holiday music! Between DH & I, we have lots of Christmas CDs. We listen to Christmas music in all genres—classical, pop, rock, country...but it wasn’t until I heard music by Mannheim Steamroller did I ever listen to Christmas music in “18th Century classical rock, or crescendo" style.

Mannheim Steamroller recently released a new album—Christmasville, which is described as “a mix of nostalgia (Where Are You Christmas?) and flat-out fun (You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch! And 'Humbugs'!...This record was born out of a once-in-a-lifetime project: Universal Theme Parks commissioned Chip Davis to create music WITH vocals-- for a holiday show called 'Grinchmas'. Thus, for the first time, you'll hear Mannheim Steamroller with voice as the final instrument.”

You can listen to one of the tracks on the album, Messengers of Christmas, by clicking on the CD cover below.

Isn't that just a festive song?
