BellyLaf

Bath time is a lot more enjoyable in our home thanks to BellyLaf, creator of Grippees™ and MiniMitts™.

According to the website, BellyLaf’s “patent pending
Grippees™ and MiniMitts™ wash mitts meet the needs of the modern parent by providing practical, safe and developmental bathing products that excite and delight both children and parents… At BellyLaf, we are focused on creating eco-friendly products and are mindful of the environmental impact created by our products. Our Grippees™ and MiniMitts™ wash mitts are composed of fabric made from bamboo, nature's most sustainable and naturally regenerative resource. Bamboo fabric is softer than the softest cotton on the market today and is naturally anti-microbial, hypoallergenic, thermal regulating and odor free. Bamboo is grown without fertilizers, pesticides or insecticides and is biodegradable.”

Grippees:
Both DH and I tried the Echo the Whale Grippees on DS2.

DH's experience was similar to that of another bath grip he tried. He had a hard time reaching some areas, but its probably because his hands are so big. However, he did say the Grippees fit him despite his big hands and they worked really well in gripping DS2. Non-toxic silicone gripping dots are placed on the lower palm of the Grippees to assist with the handling of your little one.

DH did express concern that the Grippees were white, only because there have been MANY times DS2 pooped while taking a bath, and he didn’t like the thought of getting the cute little Grippees stained.

A few days later I tried the Grippees out on DS2. It was my FIRST time bathing DS2, and the only reason why I bathed him was because DH was sick. Let's just say Grippees made bath time so quick and easy that now I wouldn't mind bathing DS2 every day!

Because the Grippees are used on both hands, I could scrub each arm, hand, leg, etc. at the same time instead of one by one if I were using a regular washcloth. When it was time to take DS2 out of the tub--no problem! DS2 felt safe and secure while I transported him out of the tub.

Please note that although the Grippees work well in gripping your little one to keep him or her safe during bath time and moving him or her in and out of the bath tub, they are an assistive device only, and you should still exercise care and caution while bathing your little one!

MiniMitts:
The first time we put the Zippo the Blowfish MiniMitts on DS1, he cried! He didn’t know what the “things” were on his hands. To date he's still not used to having the MiniMitts on, but I know one day he'll come around. In the meantime, although he doesn't use them yet, he still has fun pointing to the various bright colors and shapes on the MiniMitts’ SmartShapes design during his bath.

The Grippees and MiniMitts are cute, soft, machine-washable, eco-friendly, and functional, and they really make bath time easier and lots of fun!

This year BellyLaf will be introducing some new products to complement their current Grippees and MiniMitts line, and I can’t wait to see what they come out with!
