Veggie Adventures

I’m pretty fortunate that DS1 loves to eat veggies, but several of my friends’ kids don’t like them. To help get their kids to start loving veggies, I'll be telling them about Hidden Valley’s Love Your Veggies Campaign, which I learned about through Mom Central, and which was created to “help children develop a life-long love of vegetables through activities at home, at school and in the community.”

On Love Your Veggies you'll find a lot of great recipes that incorporate vegetables that you and your kids can make, and they recently launched a new online game, Veggie Adventures, where your kids can have fun growing plants into vegetables, delivering them, and serving them. According to Mom Central, a recent study "indicated that 60 percent of parents play computer games with their kids," so Veggie Adventures is definitely a fun way for you to help your kids to learn about and love veggies!

There are three levels in the game: At the Farm, On the Road, and In the Kitchen. Your child basically has to get as many veggies from the farm to the kitchen to feed hungry little tummies.

It’s such a cute game! Each time you play, you’ll also find out some fun Veggie Facts, such as the different types of nutrients and vitamins in various vegetables, and you can print out a certificate after each completed level!

Even if your kid already loves vegetables, Veggie Adventures is a fun way to spend time with your kiddo and learn fun facts about veggies too!
