There’s been a lot of buzz about a singing sensation on Britain’s Got Talent lately, and thanks to Universal Music Group, I was introduced to another sensation who previously starred on Britain’s Got Talent—Faryl Smith.Faryl Smith's debut CD, Faryl, "consists of an eclectic mix of 12 stunning tracks ranging from such signature classics as Amazing Grace to the lesser known Welsh hymn Calon Lan, taught lovingly to Faryl over the phone by her Grandfather…In a nutshell, Faryl sings with precision, emotion and power."
I was fortunate to receive a copy of Faryl (ARV $14.98, Decca, to be released in the US May 5th, 2009), and I was simply amazed.
Faryl Smith has an extraordinary, beautiful voice, and it’s hard to believe she’s only 13! Listening to the CD reminded me of another classical young artist—Charlotte Church. The debut of Faryl made history by breaking previous records held by Charlotte Church for becoming the fastest-selling solo classical debut ever.
The entire CD is powerful and enchanting, but if I had to pick a favorite track, it would be Annie’s Song, a hit made popular by John Denver.
Faryl has already conquered the UK and I’m sure she’ll be conquering the US as well with her amazing voice!

i went to Itunes to listen to the sample tracks as I couldn't get it to open on her site.
Anyway, I have always liked Amazing Grace and she does a great job with this.
