I love ice cream, therefore you can imagine how excited I was to try out the new Ice Cream Series from Häagen-Dazs Five thanks to Mom Central.According to the website, Häagen-Dazs Five is “All-natural ice cream crafted with only five ingredients for incredibly pure, balanced flavor... and surprisingly less fat!”
There are seven flavors in the Five Ice Cream Series. All of the ice creams are made with milk, cream, sugar, and eggs, and one of the following ingredients to create their line of flavors:
· Brown Sugar
· Coffee
· Ginger
· Milk Chocolate
· Mint
· Passion Fruit
· Vanilla Bean
I was fortunate to try out the Mint, Brown Sugar, Ginger, and Passion Fruit flavors (ARV $4.39 per carton).
My favorite is the Passion Fruit. Passion Fruit is popular in Hawaii, but I can’t recall ever eating Passion Fruit ice cream, and this was so creamy and delicious.
My next favorite was Mint. I never had Mint ice cream—I’ve had Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream, but never Mint by itself. It was cool and refreshing, and what I expected Mint to taste like.
Brown Sugar was good too. At first I thought it would taste too sweet, but it wasn’t.
Although the Ginger reminded me a little of candied ginger, I thought Ginger was too "adventurous" of a flavor for me.
Overall I thought the Häagen-Dazs Five ice creams were delicious and creamy, and I can’t wait to try out the other flavors, especially Milk Chocolate!
