Paper Shouts and BRIDE WARS

We all have our own styles—we have our own style when it comes to our wardrobe, our home décor, even the events we plan. When it came to planning my wedding, my style was simple and casual, but classic, and my invitations reflected that.

I made my own wedding invitations, but looking back, I would’ve saved myself the time and stress and ordered them from one of the many great companies that excels in stationery, such as
Paper Shouts.

Paper Shouts offers a variety of styles of Bridal Shouts, which includes
bridal shower invitations, save the date cards, and they just launched their new Couture line of Wedding Invitations (all of their Shouts are printed on 100% recycled, high-quality, uncoated paper)!

This is one of my favorites, in the Traditional Style:

Finding a venue was also a part of the planning process, and I selected a very classic hotel, and my favors and decorations were very simple, yet charming.

Thank goodness it wasn’t until AFTER my wedding that a friend told me how her cousin booked the same ballroom on a future date at the same hotel only to find out a month before her wedding that the wedding coordinator accidentally double-booked it (if she told me before my wedding I’d freak out! Unfortunately for my friend’s cousin, she ended up having to move her reception to another facility in the hotel since she had a lesser number of guests). A similar situation happened on the movie
BRIDE WARS (to be released on DVD April 28), starring Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway.

BRIDE WARS: Liv (Kate Hudson) and Emma (Anne Hathaway), best friends since childhood, are always there for each other, through good times and bad. They even become engaged to be married within a few hours of one another. Together they plan their respective weddings, each to take place at New York’s ultimate bridal destination, the Plaza Hotel. But a clerical error and subsequent clash in wedding dates pits the two brides – neither of whom will step aside – against each other, in a competition that quickly escalates into all-out war.

I haven’t seen the movie, but have read about how both main characters have their own style--Emma is more traditional and easy-going, while Liz is a sassy perfectionist. I’d probably relate more to Emma’s style.

When it comes to weddings, or any occasion or aspect of our lives, we all have our own style. And whether you’re more of a traditional gal, more modern, or somewhere in between, you can always find something to suit your style when it comes to stationery on Paper Shouts.

Shop: You can purchase all of your wedding stationery needs and more on
PaperShouts.com. You can purchase BRIDE WARS beginning April 28 at various retailers online and nationwide.

Savvy Savings: Get 15% off your Paper Shouts order using code Sage at checkout through May 15, 2009.

Win: Paper Shouts has partnered with 20th Century Fox and is sponsoring a giveaway so one lucky reader will win a copy of the BRIDE WARS DVD (ARV $29.98) and a $25 Paper Shouts gift certificate. (Note: The selected winner will also be automatically entered into a Grand Prize drawing on the Paper Shouts website. Prizes include movie memorabilia such as the sunglasses worn in the movie by Kate Hudson and a movie one-sheet signed by Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway and the Grand Prize is a great Mexican vacation—6 nights at the CasaMagna Marriott Cancun Resort and airfare for 2 on AirTran airlines; winner to be selected and notified by Paper Shouts).

***THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED***

Congratulations to Terra H!

  • To enter, comment on both of the following 1) Which character’s style you relate to more: Emma’s traditional, romantic style or Liv’s couture, “only the best” approach; 2)Visit Paper Shouts and comment on your favorite card from the Bridal Shouts section.
  • You’ll get one extra entry each if you do any of the following (be sure to leave a comment for each “entry”):

3)Add my button to your sidebar

I love the one you pictured in the blog Light Green Toile, my best friend is getting married next year and I'm the matron of honor so my brain is all abuzz with all the fun details that I get to work on. I also like the Light Green Flower (She's having a green as her color)

I think I am more like Emma, but who knows - I haven't seen the movie yet either so this would be a fun and useful win!
