Aaron Barnhart: Missing Pieces

I always enjoy finding out about new artists, and thanks to the Family Review Network, I discovered the great vocal talent of Aaron Barnhart after listening to his debut album, Missing Pieces (ARV $11.98, Bonded Records).

Aaron Barnhart is a singer, songwriter and musician who’s been crafting thought provoking and touchingly intimate songs for the last several years. His music has sincerity and sheer musicality that is refreshing to the modern scene. Trained in classical and jazz piano, Aaron’s music posses a mature sound that draws on many diverse influences. His music is filled with tales of wanderlust and heartache, yet uplifts the listener to desire more.

I enjoyed so many songs from the Missing Pieces CD. It starts off with a really great track, Day In Day Out, which is also Barnhart’s first single. You can almost feel Barnhart’s pain in One More Second Chance, and Another Day and Whatever You Get are feel-good songs that are all about appreciating what you have in life.

Painkiller is my favorite track—it’s a nice song about love and I love the mellow beat.

I have to admit that I was surprised that I enjoyed almost the entire Missing Pieces CD, especially since I never heard of Barnhart before, but I am now an Aaron Barnhart fan, and I’m sure he’ll be gaining lots more fans as more people discover his talent.

Shop: You can purchase Missing Pieces at various retailers online and nationwide beginning May 26.
