We always love finding new CDs for Little Music Man to dance and sing along to, and our latest find, Tracey Singer’s Sweets ‘n’ Treats (ARV $15.00, Mr. Cal Records, releases July 7), will get the whole family singing and dancing!According to the website, “With his kids crawling, toddling and running around him Singer wrote the music for his debut album, Sweets ‘n’ Treats, a funny and fun (and sometimes slightly twisted) musical adventure. His songs take us on a tuneful tour of camping trips gone haywire, summer Christmas celebrations, kids wearing baggy pants that barely stay up and the tale of a never satisfied sweet tooth. He also introduces us to a zany cast of characters including Foxy Joe, Hard Hearted Haley and the ever amusing Mall Mom. Singer does this while throwing in several styles of music in not-so-accidental fashion.”

Sweets 'n' Treats is filled with a variety of music influenced by different genres, such as pop, oldies, jazz, and soft rock. My favorite song on the CD is Sweets ‘n’ Treats because it’s such a cute song (and both Little Music Man and I LOVE sweets and treats!). Nana Nana Boo Boo is such a funny song about naughty little Haley, and Where Did Summer Go is a sweet, feel-good song that will make adults reminisce about their childhood summers.
Stinky Smoke teaches a very important message about the dangers of smoking, and this happens to be Little Music Man’s favorite song simply because he loves the “stinky stinky stinky stinky…” parts and will holds his nose like he’s smelling stinky.
Sweets ‘n’ Treats is a CD full of fun songs, amusing characters, and entertaining adventures that the entire family will enjoy!
