Spectacular-Day 26: Gogglemate

When I was asked if I wanted to review Gogglemate, I checked out the website and thought it was such a neat product, and I couldn't wait to try it out with Little Music Man's goggles.

It all started when a mother of three from Chicago, Illinois decided she could no longer take on the battles and tears that came with attending swimming lessons. In direct response to the problem and born out of necessity, Gogglemate was invented. Simply, my children hated swimming because the goggles they had to wear constantly got tangled in their hair and pulled it--"it hurts!", they shouted. After endless hours of scouring the shopping centers, I came to the realization that a product to help my dilemma did not exist. So, I borrowed my friends sewing machine and developed a simple solution to the problem. After many failed attempts, alterations and tests poolside…Gogglemate has arrived! Not only does Gogglemate provide comfort by not pulling hair, but it also keeps your goggles afloat in water…no more lost goggles at the pool or beach. In addition, the bright colors and fun decorative images make it easy to spot your child at a crowded pool, and locate those hard to find often misplaced goggles, which in the end makes life easier for mom and dad.

We were fortunate to receive the following Gogglemates: Camouflage, Red Sharks, and Blue Footballs (ARV $7.99 each). The Gogglemate is so easy to use—just open it up, put it on, close it up, and there you go! You can view the very funny video on the Gogglemate website to see how it works.

The Gogglemade made the goggles easier to slip on and off Little Music Man's head. Even DH tried goggles with the Gogglemate too and found it neat how the goggles didn't pull his hair.

And I couldn’t resist--I even tried Gogglemate on a pair of goggles myself, and despite my very long hair, not a single strand was pulled or tangled! I was quite impressed!

Gogglemate comes in a variety of designs, and it’s a simple accessory that adds some fun to ordinary goggles, and it really makes a big difference.

It’s just too bad Gogglemate wasn’t around when I was little…I have so many memories from when I took swimming lessons...Some not-so good memories…of how much I hated using goggles because my hair would always get pulled and tangled whenever I took them off.

But at least we have Gogglemate now and my kids won't suffer goggle-pain like I did!
