Imagination Movers: For Those About to Hop Review and Giveaway

When I read a feature in a local paper last year about Wendy Calio, who landed a role as Nina on the Disney series Imagination Movers and has Hawaii ties, I couldn’t wait for the show to premiere! It's such a silly show that always gets Little Music Man laughing and dancing. Thanks to Walt Disney Records, I was able to review the recently released Imagination Movers: For Those About to Hop (ARV $12.99), so the fun and dancing can continue even when the show ends!

Those Playhouse Disney stars, Imagination Movers, are back with a second album featuring songs as seen on the Playhouse Disney TV Series. Imagination Movers: For Those About to Hop features show favorites such as Jungle Room, Mover Music and more. The Movers are Rich, Smitty, Dave and Scott and their motto for everything in life is to ''reach high, think big, work hard and have fun!'' With a great message along with great tunes, fun is what this CD is all about.

For Those About to Hop is filled with songs that will make you and your kids want to sing and dance along. As soon as I popped the CD into the player, Little Music Man started to dance, and I couldn’t believe it—but he didn’t want to finish his snack once I put on the CD. He just listened intently and danced through most of the CD, and only after the CD finished playing did he resume his snack.

Even Smiley Boy couldn’t help but bounce along to the beat of many of the songs!

Some of our favorite tracks included Jump Up! (How can you resist jumping along?), Sunblock (very catchy chorus), and Mother in You (such a sweet song any mother would love!).

If you insert the CD into your computer, you can access bonus material, such as coloring pages and lyrics!

Imagination Movers is a lively, upbeat CD with really fun songs, many of which communicate positive messages. Even if you’ve never watched Imagination Movers before, I’m sure you and your kids will enjoy this CD…and then you’ll want to tune in to the show!
