Walgreens Digital Temple Thermometer Review and Giveaway

Thanks to Mom Select, I was fortunate to try out a new thermometer-the Walgreens Digital Temple Thermometer (ARV $29.99).

Walgreens Digital Temple Thermometer: Utilizing a unique sensor, R.A.T.E (Rapid Accurate Temperature Establishment) rapidly samples the heat flowing from the blood vessels to the skin surface and translates it accurately to the body temperature.

Features:
Fast & Accurate
Large Backlight Display
Fever Alert
For use on Temple or Underarm
Memory Recall

Using the Digital Temple Thermometer on Little Music Man or myself was really simple. Although at times I wasn’t sure I placed it exactly on the temple, the readings did seem accurate. However, trying it out on Smiley Boy, an infant, was difficult. He was very squirmy and constantly moved his head while trying to grab the thermometer. Even though the thermometer takes approximately 6 seconds to take a temperature, for Smiley Boy it just wasn’t possible, but others may have an easier time with their own infant.

You also have the option of getting a temperature in underarm mode, and a really neat feature is how the Digital Temple Thermometer can read a room’s temperature!

The only minor drawbacks I found to this thermometer were that it took a few seconds before you could actually use it once you power it on (with other thermometers I have you can take a reading immediately), and that if you want to take another temperature reading, you had to turn off the thermometer and wait 2 minutes before turning it on to take another temperature (although I did try to take a reading without waiting the two minutes and it seemed to work just fine).

Overall I think this is a handy thermometer to have on hand. It’s non invasive and easy to use.

I just hope I don’t have to use it too often!

Shop: You can purchase the Walgreens Digital Temple Thermometer on the Walgreens website, or at a Walgreens location near you.

Win: One lucky winner will win a Walgreens Digital Temple Thermometer!

Oh, this is great. My kids put a digital under their tongue with no issue. But this would be a fantastic gift for the couple whose baby I am carrying (a surrogacy).

I love how simple it is to use first and foremost. Holding a thermometer under an arm of a squirmy baby is difficult!
