Holiday Spectacular Day 2: PNI Digital Media Review and Giveaway

Now that the holidays are upon us, many people are already thinking about what to give that special someone for the holidays. The Costco Photo Center offers a variety of photo gifts perfect for holiday gift-giving that you can make from the comfort of your own home thanks to PNI Digital Media.

Established in 1995, PNI Digital Media Inc. (PNI) has developed a reputation as the leading innovator in online and in-store digital media solutions for major retailers who want to enable on-demand production of personalized products using consumer media…The PNI Digital Media Platform enables consumers to easily order photo prints, personalized photo gifts, business printing collateral and more, whether online from a photo center, in store from a PNI-powered kiosk, or right from your desktop using PNI-powered software. Orders are fulfilled by a network of on-demand fulfillment partners or directly in store, depending on the retailer’s needs.

I ordered and purchased a 12x18 collage print of my boys (ARV $2.99) via the
Costco Photo Center. You can display up to 30 photos, but the more you display, the more “uniform” each photo looks, and I like the more “staggered” look in a collage, so I used less photos.

After I selected the photos I wanted in my collage, I chose the size, the orientation (I chose portrait), and I could add a title if I wanted to (I didn’t).

I was able to preview the collage, and it’s great that you’ll be notified if your photo is in too low of a resolution to produce a quality image. The only difficult part about creating it was that there were some photos that were getting cut off within the collage, so I had to keep shuffling the photos. However, after a few shuffles, the photos were arranged so nothing was cut off. I then added a thin blue border, ordered my collage, and it was ready for pick up in an hour (however I didn’t pick it up until a week later).

When I received my collage, I was very pleased with the quality. The entire collage and all the photos were clear and not grainy despite the size of collage I chose.

Not only can you make different sizes of collages, but you can also make enlargements, calendars, ornaments, handbags, and so much more!

For just a few dollars, I was able to create an awesome collage of my boys in a few quick steps, and now I can’t wait to try and make other photo gifts through Costco and PNI Digital Media!
