Created by parents, “Itsy Bitsy Spider – by Duck Duck Moose” is a musical book based on the popular song, with fully interactive, original illustrations. Follow the spider through the captivating, inter-connected scenes as he goes up the water spout, comes down with the rain, and watches the sun dry up all the rain.
Just as with the other Duck Duck Moose Apps, Itsy Bitsy Spider-by Duck Duck Moose was colorful, engaging, and a whole lot of fun. Little Music Man tapped the spider to watch it go up and down the water spout, saw a caterpillar turn into a butterfly, made the sun shine, and so much more!
What’s different about Itsy Bitsy Spider from the other two apps is how there is more of an educational aspect. For instance, there’s a cute little fly that taught Little Music Man all about rain, the sun, spiders, and more.
You can also do a lot of counting! There are lots of colorful little eggs hidden throughout the scenes that Little Music Man loves to count once they’re thrown on the spider web.
Little Music Man’s favorite feature was watching the squirrel stack nuts, and he’d count along with each nut the squirrel would gather.
My favorite part of Itsy Bitsy Spider-by Duck Duck Moose was trying to get all the hats stacked on the spiders head.
Despite the new features in Itsy Bitsy Spider, it appeared to be a lot shorter than the previous two Duck Duck Moose apps, therefore overall there seemed as if there were a lot less things you could do.
However, Itsy Bitsy Spider-by Duck Duck Moose was still a very fun, interactive app, and now in addition to “Bus pease,” or “Old MacDono pease,” I’m constantly hearing “Spido pease.”
I really can’t wait to see what app Duck Duck Moose comes out with next, and I’m sure neither can Little Music Man!
