SproutBaby Bottles of Joy Review and Giveaway

When Little Music Man was born, I used a popular brand of baby bottles to feed him expressed milk, and these bottles turned out to be made by one of those companies that used BPA to manufacture them. Naturally, while I was pregnant with Smiley Boy, I looked for BPA-free bottles for when I’d need to feed him expressed milk. Thanks to SproutBaby.com, I received a Bottles of Joy combo pack which included a Lifefactory Wee Go Bottle (ARV $12.49/4 oz.) and a Born Free Glass Bottle (ARV $9.99/9 oz.) to provide me with even more safe options to feed Smiley Boy!

About Lifefactory’s Wee Go Bottle: Because of the recent concern over leaching chemicals in plastic baby bottles, Lifefactory is reintroducing glass baby bottles, but with a new design and safety twist: the bottle is covered with a modern silicone sleeve (patent pending) that will help protect the bottle from breakage and also prevent bumping into other articles in your diaper bag. This silicone sleeve is free of plastics and is 100% non-toxic. The bottle and the sleeve can be boiled or put in the dishwasher together. The silicone nipple is latex-free and non-toxic. The plastic ring, plug and cap contain no polycarbonates and are food grade, FDA approved and recyclable. The sleeve provides a good gripping surface during feeding and also a great tactile experience for your baby. Features a traditional venting system. Lifefactory is proud to give you a choice in using a baby bottle that is bisphenol A, phthalate, PVC and polycarbonate-free.

About Born Free Glass Bottles: ™ Bisphenol-A Free glass bottles come complete with the new innovative air vent that helps eliminate colic symptoms and fear of chemical leaching into the milk.

My biggest concern with using glass bottles was the concern about breakage. However, not only is Lifefactory’s silicone sleeve a great idea to help prevent breakage, but it also comes in a variety of colors, and it’s a fun texture for baby to feel while feeding!

The Born Free bottle is also safe for your little one, and it’s slightly contoured for easier gripping.

Whether you need to use bottles for formula or expressed milk, I think the Born Free and Lifefactory bottles are great to use. They are like most other bottles in terms of function, but knowing that they are BPA-free and safe for your baby is the biggest plus.

They are also the perfect gift for any new mom or mom-to-be!

SproutBaby not only offers safe feeding products, such as the
Born Free and Lifefactory bottles, but they also offer skin care products, baby food, reusable diapers, and more, all of which are better choices for you, your baby, and the environment!

I’ve been reading and seeing so many things about how our bodies are just full of chemicals and toxins, and even newborns are born with hundreds of chemicals and toxins due to exposure while in utero. Therefore I believe it’s really important that we do whatever we can to help reduce our kids' exposure, whether it’s through feeding products, skin care products, and food and drink.

By using bottles that are safe, such as Born Free and Lifefactory, and other products offered on SproutBaby.com, we can nourish and care for our children while limiting their exposure to dangerous chemicals.

Born Free or Lifefactory, or other products for mom and baby, visit SproutBaby.com.
