I'm Ready, but I'm Not

I'm ready to be done with all of the pregnancy-related heartburn, acid reflux, coughing (from the acid reflux), peeing (CONSTANTLY), and aches and pains.

I know it's all worth it, but I'm looking forward to being able to lie down when I sleep even if it's only for a few hours a night (currently I have to sleep upright because the heartburn and acid reflux is so bad), and to actually be able to walk normally.

But I'm also not ready...

Even though I've been through it twice before, I'm nervous to go through labor and delivery again.

I'm nervous about having a newborn in the house again.

Will I remember what I'm supposed to do? Will I remember how to give him a bath? How to swaddle him (do they still swaddle?)?

As you can see, I'm ready to have the baby, but in many ways, I'm still not...

I had my second 7 weeks ago. I felt a little the same way. It seems like I had forgotten half of how to parent a newborn--especially in my sleepy stupor!

But still, being able to sleep without having to get up to pee is pretty awesome. ;)

I feel this way too, though I have much more time to prepare than you!

I'm nervous about that whole first year. I mean, the lack of sleep alone is reason to get depressed. :)

But of course we all adjust, and before we know it a few years have gone by!
