Goddess Garden Sunscreen Review and Prize Pack Giveaway

We're fortunate to have sunny weather just about year-round, which means we go through a lot of sunscreen.

Because we go through so much sunscreen, I prefer using ones that contain natural and organic ingredients, and I recently got to try some natural and organic sunscreen products from Goddess Garden.

Based in Boulder, Colo., Goddess Garden produces a line of natural and organic sunscreens for adults, kids and baby.  Goddess Garden sunscreens are made with pure minerals, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, offering natural protection from the sun. Available in tubes, sprays and travel packs, Goddess Garden sunscreens do not contain synthetic chemicals or artificial ingredients of any kind. Goddess Garden sunscreens are water resistant, non-greasy, absorb quickly and nourish sensitive skin with the highest percentage of organic ingredients available in a sunscreen-over 82 percent!

The first product I tried on my boys (and myself) was the Kid's Natural SPF 30 Sunscreen Spray.

I love how quick and easy it is to spray the sunscreen onto my boys' skin, however, I do find that I need to spray up close to the skin, because if I spray too far away it gets a little messy and the sunscreen gets sprayed all over the place.

The sunscreen was a creamy consistency that seemed just right--not too thick, and not too runny, and although it did take a while to rub it all in, it didn't seem to take as long as some other sunscreens I've tried.

It had a very faint fragrance--nothing too strong, which I liked, because I don't like putting anything on myself or the boys that have an overpowering smell.

We also tried the tube of Kid's Sunscreen, which contained the same sunscreen as in the spray.  I do like the spray bottle better just because it's quicker--I can just use a single hand to spray!

We also received a tube of Baby Natural Sunscreen which I'll be using on Baby once our pediatrician gives us the okay to use sunscreen on him.

Probably what I like most about the Goddess Garden sunscreens is how they are listed in the EWG's Sunscreen Guide for 2011 as being one of the top-ranked!

It's great to know I can purchase Goddess Garden sunscreens once I run out (which will probably be soon) and I won't have to worry about what ingredients are in them.

Shop: You can purchase Goddess Garden products at natural grocery stores nationally including six regions of Whole Foods, Sunflower Market, Pharmaca, Sprouts, Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage, New Seasons, PCC Natural Markets among others.

Win: One lucky winner will receive a Goddess Garden prize pack to include one Adult, one Kids, and one Baby Sunscreen.
