Because Musician was going through speech and occupational therapy when he was 2, in a sense we were fortunate that we were able to send him to a free public preschool.
Now that Smiley is preschool-age, we are starting to worry about how we're going to find the funds to send him to preschool.
What makes things harder is that recently Hawaii passed a law where you need to be 5 years old by August 1 to enter Kindergarten, and because Smiley was born after August 1, that would mean he would have to wait a year longer to go to Kindergarten.
If we could afford it, we would definitely send him to preschool for 3 years, but we can't even afford 1 year, so we'll have to start saving up now so he can hopefully start next year.
The average preschool tuition in $700/month with meals here in Hawaii.
That's a lot of money I'll need to save up.
What's the average preschool tuition in your area?
