To help me with all of my questions and concerns was a handy guide, The Essential Guide to Baby's First Year by Erika Landau, MD and Abigail Brenner, MD.
Everything I wanted to know I could find in The Essential Guide to Baby's First Year.
Whether I was looking up feedings, development, sleep, or rashes, I found a lot of great information in the book.
A lot of the information was a "refresher," and there was also some information that I didn't see in any of the other newborn/infant parenting books I had when Musician was born. For instance, there was information on Autism, and this information would've come in really handy when Musician was growing up, as it may have been able to help us earlier identify his eventual diagnosis on the spectrum.
There are a lot of great references in the book, such as what you should stock in your medicine cabinet or first aid kit, an immunization schedule, what to look for in a daycare, and so much more.
I also really like the "Essential Takeaways" at the end of each chapter, which summarizes the important information from each chapter.
My favorite aspect of the book is how it features several recipes, including some vegetarian/vegan recipes, like the one below!
The Essential Guide to Baby's First Year truly is an essential book for new moms or even moms like me who already have other children, and I know I'm going to be referring to the book continuously as Baby grows.
