Classroom Birthday Treats and Goodies

Although Musician's school doesn't prohibit birthday treats, such as cake, ice cream, etc., they encourage bringing in healthier treats, so I tried to think of something the kids would enjoy, and I ended up making fruit kebabs.

I used marshmallows, grapes, and strawberries, and the kids loved it, and so did the teacher!  The teacher even explained to the children how there was an "A, B, C" pattern on the sticks, and she commented how it helped them with their fine motor skills too (taking the fruit off the kebabs).

As for the goodie bags, I ended up buying books from the Scholastic Book Club and tracing stencils from Walmart (total for each "goodie bag" came out to less than a $1).
I'm already searching for ideas for next year...so if you have any good ones please share!
