My boys really enjoyed watching the Blue Mountain Mystery movie. They loved that they saw so many new engines or engines they hardly ever see, such as Skarloey or Paxton. Another such engine was a little green engine that kept hiding in a tunnel.
Thomas kept trying to find out who he was, and initially all of the other engines ignored Thomas' questions, but eventually he found out the engine's name was Luke, and that Luke did something really bad, so he had to hide in the tunnel in fear of being banished from Sodor.
Thomas kept wondering what could he have done that was so bad?
After discovering what Luke thought he had done, Thomas discovered what REALLY happened, and eventually was able to reveal to Luke the truth about what happened as well, and Luke realized how much of a great friend Thomas was.
Blue Mountain Mystery emphasized the importance of friendship, trust, and perseverance, through an adventurous story that really engaged my boys.
There were also a lot of great songs which my boys enjoyed.
