Madgascar Preschool Surf n' Slide App Review

Smiley enjoys playing JumpStart's games online and on the Wii, and he recently had a chance to play a super cool iPad app from JumpStart in conjunction with DreamWorks Animation - the Madagascar Preschool Surf n' Slide App!

From DreamWorks Animation and JumpStart comes Madagascar Preschool Surf n' Slide™, an immersive themed game, where players join young Alex, Marty, Gloria, and Melman, and the entire Madagascar gang for a slip-sliding adventure in learning! Players will surf down amazing slides as they learn multitudes of preschool skills on their mobile device.

Addictive Features:
- 18 lessons across 6 subjects: Numbers, Letters, Colors, Shapes, Animals, and Critical Thinking
- 4 Madagascar themed levels: New York Zoo, Antarctica, Africa, and Madagascar Jungle!
- Sticker Book with 4 scenes and over 125 Madagascar themed stickers
- Fast-paced arcade action going down the slides!
- Designed for Preschoolers -- no confusing menus or navigation
- Unlimited play - each game flows right into the next
-Tilt or Slider controls

Players start out choosing their favorite Madagascar character to play with and pick a ride to slide on from surfboards, to snowboards, magic carpets, and even friendly turtles! Players slide down one of four slides collecting stars and avoiding obstacles. They will encounter balloon characters in each slide that will challenge them to fun learning games! As they play learning games, they will earn stickers for their sticker book!

Smiley has so much fun playing the Madagascar Preschool Surf n' Slide app!

After choosing his favorite character (usually Melman) and what he'll ride on, he watches him "surf n' slide" while collecting stars (and an occasional snowflake, rainbow, and other fun objects).

During the game there are mini-lessons that pop up (identifying shapes, numbers, letters, etc.).  After the lesson, he can collect a sticker which goes into a sticker book.

Although I think each game can be a little too long for Smiley's attention span (sometimes he'll stop in the middle of a game and play with the Sticker Book), overall I think it's a great app with really great graphics.

The app is a lot of fun for Smiley to play, and I love that there are a variety of lessons that pop up throughout the game to keep him engaged.

I also love how coins that are earned through the collection of stars can be transferred to be used online at Jumpstart.com.

The Madagascar Preschool Surf n' Slide App is a great app for preschoolers that's both educational and entertaining!
