Shark Rocket Ultra-Light Upright Review

I received a complimentary Shark Rocket Ultra-Light Upright for review purposes.

In our home we have a vacuum (on which we spent way too much money), as well as a hand-held mini vac, both which we would use fairly regularly to clean our home.

But not anymore.

Our go-to cleaner is now the Shark Rocket Ultra-Light Upright (SRP $179.99).

About the Shark Rocket Ultra-Light Upright:
Shark® re-engineered the full-size vacuum, focusing on the high-performance essentials and trimming away every unnecessary ounce to give you the ultimate in vacuuming versatility without sacrificing performance.

The first thing I noticed about the Shark Rocket was how it's so lightweight (less than 8 pounds!) and easy to use.

I could easily clean our living room carpet, and then with a simple switch change, clean our kitchen tiles.

The Shark Rocket swivels effortlessly around and under furniture.

The included Dust-Away™ Attachment with Microfiber Pad is great for hard floors, and the crevice tool is great for sucking up all the cracker crumbs in our sofa.

What amazes me most about the Shark Rocket Ultra-Light Upright is its suction power.

After vacuuming just a very small area (about 3 square feet) that we had actually vacuumed the day before with our very expensive vacuum, we were disgusted (in a good way) with all that the Shark Rocket was able to suck up.

I couldn't believe that the small area we had vacuumed just the day before with our other vacuum still had so much dust and dirt!

Needless to say, it got me a little grossed out thinking how much "stuff" was leftover by our other vacuum in other rooms, so we decided to vacuum the rest of the house, and sure enough it resulted in many full dust cups.

The dust cup is fairly easy to empty, and the washable filter just needs to be rinsed off once a month.

Because the vacuum is top-heavy, it can't stand on its own, so if I need to stop vacuuming for a quick moment, I always have to lean it against the wall or it'll fall over.  When we store it we have it lean against a wall as well, but it can be wall-mounted.

My husband loves the vacuum too - especially the versatility.  The parts easily detach and re-attach to go from handheld vac to upright vacuum.

I LOVE the Shark Rocket.  It has amazing suction power, there is no bag to replace, it is very easy to use all over the house, and it does a fantastic job cleaning.
